Yesterday was Little Man's 7th birthday. It was pretty uneventful except for a quick trip to Chuck E. Cheese, which was actually fun. Today, however, is his actual birthday party. Yesterday he baked and decorated his birthday cake himself, for the most part. It was a heart shaped cake with strawberry icing. His father could not believe that I let him pick a heart shaped pan to bake his birthday cake. Well, I think he was being extra considerate of the two little girls who will be helping him celebrate today. I think it is going to earn him browny points. (time passes, party has happened.)
The cake was a big hit. Everyone loved it and had a good time playing at a local kids play place. Little Man did not enjoy the spinning rides, but had a great time riding kids' go carts, playing in the bounce house, and playing arcade style games. All in all, I think he had a great day!
